So here I am... on my day off. Wouldn't you think I would be out and about... or doing something I've been meaning to do for a while... Oh right, I am doing something I've been meaning to do for a while. I'm just upset I don't have a camera to show you guys.

So it occurs to me that I'm in the last 2 weeks before school starts up... And after about a month of school is AWA... Taking this knowledge... and knowledge of last year's rush to get my cross finished... I started working on my Cosplay Cross-punisher. I've never known myself to get so much work done in one day. yesterday I bought some materials... some pink-board for the structure, some spray-paint and glue for the construction... a couple of trinkets and bam, come home and sleep.

Today, I cut it all up, glued it all together, foil-wrapped it, painted it... got paint on my fingers... painted some details... got paint on my fingers.... and hung it all up to dry. All this before 11:30!! I'm proud of myself... now if I could only get this paint off without scrubbing my fingers till they bleed >.>

Bwaha, whatever. This weekend, I'm going to do all the stitching and make a removable cloth for it, like I've always wanted... take it easy folks.

No way, thats the exact same way i got the name... same book too. I picked up at a used book store for a quarter though, it was in a clearance bin. Yeah, i really liked Anne McCaffery's Pern series, I'm not too big on Terry Brooks though. I've never met anyone that's caught that name reference before, let alone used it himself.

No prob on the :fav: , but I came across the name Jaxom from the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffery. Excelent series, if you haven't read it yet, please do (though I do feel you've read it). in fact, I owe my knowledge of the series to a pure fluke. The book, Dragonsinger, was discarded for some reason and I found it on the floor next to my locker in middle school. I don't know why, but I picked it up and started reading. and the only science fiction/fantasy series i will ever read from is Anne McCaffery's Pern series and Terry Brooks' Shannara series. If your a big reader, I hope you pick up on any you havent read yet.
